Pediatric Partners of Augusta wants to help protect your children and families from the flu. From September through November, we will be offering flu shots during scheduled appointments. Supplies are limited, so schedule your appointment today.
- Evans: 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Grovetown: 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays
- Downtown Augusta: 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays
We also will have Saturday flu clinics, where walk-ins are welcome, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on:
- Sept. 21
- Oct. 5 and 26
- Nov. 9 and 23
It is important to keep your child healthy and immunized. The Centers for Disease Control recommends everyone over the age of 6 months receive a flu vaccine (with rare exceptions). While your child may experience some flu-like symptoms after receiving the vaccine, your child cannot get the flu from the vaccine.
The flu vaccine reduces the risk of the flu and its complications. The flu can lead to serious illness, hospitalization, and even death in children, especially those under 5 years old. According to the Centers for Disease Control, a 2022 study showed that the flu vaccine reduces the risk of severe, life-threatening influenza in children by 75 percent.
