Dr. Mary H. Anderson
Dr. Anderson graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a degree in Medicine. She specialized in both Pediatrics and Allergy and Immunology. She began her private practice in 1991 on Central Avenue then merged her practice with Pediatric Partners of Augusta as a partner in July 2007. Dr. Anderson works primarily in the Evans office but also sees patients in our downtown University office once a week. Dr. Anderson is board certified in both Pediatrics and Allergy and Immunology and holds memberships with both local and national organizations. She is licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina. Dr. Anderson is married with two children and has strong ties to the community. Her interests include educating the community on asthma maintenance and allergy prevention, travel, and church.
Dr. Beatriz Barrientos
Dr. Barrientos graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a degree in Medicine. She specialized in Pediatrics. She joined Pediatric Partners of Augusta as a staff physician in February 2005. Dr. Barrientos works in the Evans office. Dr. Barrientos is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of both local and national organizations. Dr. Barrientos is married with three children. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Her interest includes church, travel and art.
Dr. Gene Cannady
Dr. Cannady joined Pediatric Partners in August of 2009. He grew up in Columbia County and earned his graduate and medical degrees from MCG. He then completed his residency at Children’s Hospital Central California. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics. He is married and has two children.
Dr. Scott Chappell
Dr. Chappell graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a degree in Medicine. He specialized in Pediatrics. He joined Pediatric Partners of Augusta as a partner in 2000. He works primarily in our downtown University office and works in our Evans office one day a week. Dr. Chappell is married with two children. Dr. Chappell is an avid golfer and fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. He enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
Dr. Debbie Benoit-Harris
Dr. Benoit-Harris graduated from Brown University School of Medicine with a degree in Medicine. She specialized in Pediatrics. She joined Pediatric Partners of Augusta as a staff physician in 2005. She was promoted to a full partner in August 2007. She works in the Evans office. She is board certified in Pediatrics and holds membership in many state and national organizations. Dr. Benoit-Harris is married and has three children and strong ties to the community. Her interest involves community activities, education with adolescent and pre-adolescent girls involving issues of maturity and spending time with family. She currently is involved in a quarterly education class for mothers and daughters on "Growing up Girls".
Dr. Karen Foushee
Dr. Foushee graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a degree in Medicine and then completed her pediatric internship and residency there. She is one of the founding partners of Pediatric Partners of Augusta. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and maintains membership in the Georgia Academy of Pediatrics. She has a special interest in asthma and sports medicine. Dr. Foushee is married with three children and stays busy with family activities. Other interests include running, cooking and travel.
Dr. Sandra Herzwurm
Dr. Herzwurm graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a degree in Medicine. She specialized in Pediatrics. She joined Pediatric Partners of Augusta in January 1996 as a staff physician. Dr. Herzwurm works in our Evans office three days a week. She is board certified in Pediatrics and holds memberships in both state and national organizations. Dr. Herzwurm is married and has three children. She is very actively involved in her children's school and athletics activities. Other interests include cycling, travel, reading and church activities.
Dr. Steven Jones
Dr. Jones works in our Evans office. He attended the Pennsylvania State University for his undergraduate training. Dr. Jones received his Medical degree and training in Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia. He is a former chief resident of Pediatrics. Dr. Jones entered private practice in 1987 and merged his practice with Pediatric Partners of Augusta in 1996. Dr. Jones is married and has six children. His interests include golf, tennis, running and spending time with his family. Dr. Jones presents an educational class quarterly for fathers and sons entitled, "Growing Up Boys".
Dr. Elizabeth C. Becton
Dr. Becton grew up in Augusta and is proud to call it home. She graduated from Wake Forest University and is a fan of all Demon Deacon sports. She graduated from and completed her Pediatric Residency training at MCG. Dr. Becton is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a Member of the American Board of Pediatrics. She works primarily in our downtown University office and works in our Evans office one day a week.
She enjoys all kinds of sports - both watching and playing. Her favorite activity is spending time with her wonderful nieces and nephews.
Dr. Jennifer Ligon
Dr. Ligon was born and raised in Augusta, and attended Evans High School and the University of Georgia. She obtained her degree in Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed her Pediatric Residency at MCG. She enjoys spending time with her son, Davis, and playing with their daschund Rosco. She is a lifetime member of First Baptist Church, and enjoys keeping in touch with her friends from all over the US. She is very pleased to be able to work with families in her hometown.
